16colo.rs

It preserves a visual culture that lived inside terminals, dial-up boards, and artpacks, where character grids somehow became logos, monsters, pinups, and entire little worlds.

The browsing tools make it feel less like a static museum and more like a living index: releases, groups, artists, comments, uploads, tags, and search all sit in one place.

16colo.rs is interesting because it proves that old computer constraints did not make art smaller. They made artists stranger, sharper, and very good at shading with blocks.
