Starring the Computer

You can browse from either direction: choose a movie or show to identify its machines, or choose a computer to see its entire screen career.

Every appearance receives separate ratings for importance, realism, and visibility, finally giving background office hardware the critical scrutiny it deserves.

Fictional computers are excluded unless they were assembled from real computer parts, so HAL 9000 does not qualify. The rules are strict because cinema-computer scholarship demands standards.
